has been practicing dermatology for over 25 years. After completing his medical training at Cornell University Medical College in 1973, he went on to train in both general surgery and internal medicine before entering his dermatology residency.
Dr. Romano has served as Director of Dermatology at the Queens Hospital Center as well as a consultant for a number of institutions. He is currently on the attending staff at both New York Presbyterian Hospital and St. Vincent's Hospital (Manhattan), and is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Weil Medical College of Cornell University.
Not only has Dr. Romano been nationally recognized for his work by Who's Who in Medicine and Health Care, as well as Who's Who in America, he has also been listed as one of "New York's Top Doctors" by New York magazine for seven years. Dr. Romano has also been selected by Allure magazine as one of the nation's top cosmetic dermatologists, and he is included in America's Cosmetic Doctors and Dentists- A Patient's Guide. Additionally, Dr. Romano has been a medical advisor to a number of publications. "I have the good fortune to currently serve on the editorial advisory panel for Family Circle and Men's Health. These positions allow me to interact with staff writers giving me a better understanding of the topics that are of concern to their readers." Dr. Romano has also been featured both locally and nationally on a number of television and radio programs.
Dr. Romano is a member of a number of professional societies which include the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, New York State Dermatology Society, Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, Manhattan-Metropolitan Dermatology Society (past president), and New York Academy of Medicine Section on Dermatology (past chairman). studied the Biochemical Sciences at Harvard University, graduating with honors. She then went on to receive her MD degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and also completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Returning to New York for a dermatology residency at Columbia University, Dr. Buchness was board certified in Dermatology in 1986.
Dr. Buchness became a full-time member of the teaching faculty at New York University immediately following her residency. She served as the Assistant Chief of Dermatology at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Manhattan, where she was in charge of the Dermatology Clinic and was Director of Resident Supervision. While at New York University, Dr. Buchness published many papers on skin diseases associated with sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation and those associated with HIV infection. In 1988, she authored a paper in the New England Journal of Medicine on a novel treatment for a previously untreatable HIV-associated skin disease.
In 1995, Dr. Buchness, as Chief of Dermatology at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center, continued her research into skin diseases associated with HIV infection. In 2000, she joined Dr. Romano's practice to increase her availability and decrease the waiting time for appointments.
Dr. Buchness has been awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Women's Medical Association of New York City and the Woman of the Future Award by the New York Women's Agenda Committee. She is included in the Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in the East, and in Castle Connelly's How to Find the Best Doctors in the New York Metropolitan Area. She is the immediate past president of the Woman's Medical Association of New York City and the Vice President of the New York State Society of Dermatology. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York.
Dr. Buchness is an accomplished author and speaker, presenting talks and community forums on topics which include skin cancer, psoriasis, HIV-related skin disease, antifungal medications, alternative medicine, cosmetic dermatology, and general skin care.
Dr. Buchness lives in Manhattan with her orthodontist husband and her son. [ top ]

is an alumnus of Cornell University and received his degree in medicine from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his training at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York and Cook County Medical Center in Chicago.
With a strong interest in both clinical medicine and aesthetic dermatology, Dr. Eidelman has furthered his education with numerous continuing medical education courses on the latest products available and the art of facial rejuvenation. He has become an expert in cosmetic fillers and his mastery of the latest cosmetic laser techniques has qualified him to become assistant professor to residents training in lasers and cosmetic procedures at Beth Israel Medical Center. He is an authority in the use of BOTOX® Cosmetic and is a National Educational Faculty Trainer for BOTOX® Cosmetic. He lectures regularly on cosmetic procedures and general skin care and has been interviewed for numerous national television programs and publications.
Dr. Eidelman's training is unique, having done specialty externships at Valladolid Hospital in Spain, Soroka Medical Center in Israel, Pediatric Hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the Papago Indian Reservation in Arizona. Prior to shifting his focus to private practice, Dr. Eidelman was a full-time faculty member at the Beth Israel Department of Dermatology where he supervised the HIV dermatology clinic and served as Residency Director.
Dr. Eidelman was board certified in dermatology in 1998 and is a member of a number of professional societies which include: The American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York.
Dr. Eidelman recently became the father to twins and enjoys using his free time to play with his children. In addition, he regularly relaxes by making ceramics at his pottery studio and practicing yoga. [ top ]
We are pleased to welcome to our practice. Dr. Hazan is a board certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs surgeon who was raised in Canada. She received her B.S. degree from McGill University where she was in the top 5% in the Honors Physiology Program and was awarded the NSERC Grant and Research Scholarship.
Dr. Hazan received her medical degree from McGill and completed her internship training at New York University Medical Center, followed by a clinical research fellowship in the Department of Dermatology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She completed her residency training in the Department of Dermatology at NYU Medical Center. Following her residency, Dr. Hazan completed an advanced procedural dermatology fellowship at NYU Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Dermatologic Surgery, Laser Surgery, and Cosmetic Dermatology.
Dr. Hazan is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is the author of 13 articles and 1 book chapter and has been presented with 4 different awards for her research in dermatology. Dr. Hazan lectures at national meetings and is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology at NYU. She is fluent in French and Spanish. [ top ]
